Descrizione progetto: Ristrutturazione del primo piano di una palazzina il cui progetto risale al 1925 e che presenta caratteristiche proprie del liberty torinese.

Il piano è costituito da un'unica unità abitativa di circa 140 mq e l'intervento è consistito nel ripristino dell'abitazione senza snaturarne le caratteristiche originali e valorizzando l'utilizzo delle aperture ai fini dell'illuminazione e mantenendo inalterata la disposizione degli ambienti interni utilizzando uno dei vani per la creazione di un secondo bagno adeguato ai tempi.

La pavimentazione originale in palchetto in rovere, larice e faggio è stata recuperata ed è stata sostituita la pavimentazione meno nobile e in pessime condizioni del corridoio, del bagno esistente e della cucina.

I termosifoni originali in ghisa dell'epoca sono stati integralmente recuperati.

Da progetto la struttura portante originale era prevista in cemento armato con solai piani. L'edificio invece è stato realizzato con strutture miste cemento, mattoni e travi in acciaio. In particolare tutte le volte sono state realizzate a padiglione. Fatto che ha richiesto particolare attenzione nella realizzazione dei nuovi impianti. 

Description of the project: Restructuring of the first floor of a building whose project dates back to 1925 and which presents characteristics typical of Turin's Liberty Style.

The floor consists of a single living unit of about 140 square metres and the intervention consisted in restoring the dwelling without distorting its original characteristics and enhancing the use of openings for lighting purposes, while maintaining the layout of the interior spaces by using one of the rooms to create a second bathroom in keeping with the times.

The original oak, larch and beech flooring was recovered. On the other hand the less noble and in poor condition flooring in the corridor, in the existing bathroom and in the kitchen was replaced.

The original cast-iron radiators of the period were fully recovered.

The original load-bearing structure was planned to be made of reinforced concrete with flat floors. Instead, the building was built with mixed concrete, brick and steel beam structures. In particular, all the vaults were pavilion-shaped. This required special care in the realisation of the new installations.
